Ibm Type 2647 Driver For Mac

I had been using breezy for the longest time & decided to perform a clean install of 9.10. Everything had worked fine using ndiswrapper under breezy. I performed the default install of 9.10 & noticed that my wireless did not function.

I figured that since I needed ndiswrapper before, it would just be a simple install & away I go. Unfortuntely, not so much. What I've wound up with is a configuration where my wlan0 is shown when doing ifconfig or iwconfig but never appears under system -preferences - network connections - wireless nor is it able to scan for any wireless AP in the area. I'm still fairly green when it comes to commands & where to look during troubleshooting. I've gone through the wifi troubleshooting guide (& according to it, everything should be functioning properly. I've also ran across a few other topics about a similar usb version of this chipset. All of these had some helpful commands but none seemed to the magic trick to get it all fixed.

I'm at my wits end. I feel like i've traveled down so many rat holes trying to resolve this that I'm all spun around & dizzy as to everything i've done now. I'm posting some entries for some files in the hopes that maybe someone can see something i'm not. Here's the /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper file: install pci:v0003873sv00000406sd00001668bc.sc.i. /sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper #install pci:v0003873sv00002406sd00001668bc.sc.i.

/sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper I remarked out the bottom 3 entries manually thinking maybe something might be conflicting, restarting afterwards & no change. They originally had all been active entries. Iwconfig: lo no wireless extensions. Eth0 no wireless extensions. Irda0 no wireless extensions.
